The Richmond Heights Police Department responded to 90 traffic accidents in the month of November, 2016. This is up from the 65 accidents that were handled in November, 2015. For the year, we have responded to 810 accidents. This is 83 more than the same time period in 2015. last updated 1/6/2017
It’s that time of year again. Every year, the Richmond Heights Police Department takes several reports of vehicles stolen while their owners warm them up in the morning. Please don’t give crooks a chance to take your car. The few early minutes of warmth is just not worth it.
#1 Tip – Holiday Season Shopping means lots of parked cars gathered in shopping centers, large restaurants, and parking garages – this is a ripe opportunity for criminals. Most of the recent auto thefts involved valuables left in plain view. The Richmond Heights Police Department reminds you to always lock your vehicles, even if leaving them for only a few moments, and stash your valuables OUT OF VIEW before you park. This includes any gifts and goods that you may accumulate as you shop.
