Fraud Victim reported an unidentified adult female attempted to access her Nordstrom credit card account to make a fraudulent in store purchase. The suspect presented the store clerk with a counterfeit Illinois Driver’s license.  Investigation is continuing.

New Internet Purchase Exchange Location

Richmond Heights Police Department and OfferUp is proud to announce our partnership.

Our MeetUp Spot program will help provide an easy and free way to establish a community location that is public, well lit, and monitored by the police department, while conducting ebay, Craigslist, OfferUp, and other internet transactions.

The MeetUp Spot will be inside the vestibule at 7447 Dale Avenue (Public Safety Building) and will be available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

You should conduct your transaction inside the vestibule so that it will be monitored with video surveillance.

December 2017 Accident Statistics

The Richmond Heights Police Department responded to 86 traffic accidents in the month of December, 2017.  This is up from the 79 accidents that were handled in December, 2016.  For the year, we have responded to 829 accidents.  This is 62 less than the same time period in 2016.

Leaving the Scene – Accident Victim reported her vehicle was struck while parked in the Galleria garage.  A note identifying the vehicle responsible for the damage was left on the Victim’s windshield. Investigation is continuing.

The Richmond Heights Police Department responded to 74 traffic accidents in the month of November, 2017.  This is down from the 90 accidents that were handled in November, 2016.  For the year, we have responded to 741 accidents.  This is 71 less than the same time period in 2016.

Leaving the Scene – Accident Victim reported while stopped at a red electric signal waiting to turn onto Hanley Road, her vehicle was rear ended.  The driver of the striking vehicle being driven by an adult female, fled the scene without exchanging information.  A stop order has been issued for the vehicle.
