November 2015 Accident Statistics

The Richmond Heights Police Department responded to 65 traffic accidents in the month of November, 2015.  For the year, we have responded to 727 accidents.  This is 53 more than the same time period in 2014.

12/01/15 Brentwood at I-64 Soliciting without a Permit An officer observed an adult male known to area law enforcement as a known panhandler walking in the intersection soliciting for money. The suspect was arrested and later released on a summons. This is not the same suspect as described in incident number 15-2052 above.

Unattended Vehicle Thefts

Each year at this time the Richmond Heights PD responds to calls for stolen cars that have been left running and unattended to warm up. Please do not leave your vehicle unattended while running or with the keys in it. As always, don’t leave valuable personal property inside your vehicle. Report suspicious behavior in your neighborhoods to police immediately.

Recent Vehicle Tampering

Update (10/7/2015):

During the evening of 10/6/2015, several more unlocked vehicles were ransacked in the area of Arch Terrace, Surrey Hills and the Sheridan Hills neighborhood (red shaded area).  Please remove valuables and secure your vehicles.  As always, report any suspicious activity immediately.


Overnight (Sept 29-30), numerous unlocked cars were unlawfully entered and rifled through. These cars were parked in the neighborhood bordered by Hwy I-64, Wise Ave, Big Bend and Boland (green shaded area).  Please report any suspicious activity by calling 911.
