February 2020 UCR Part 1 Crime Comparisons

(The Year-over-Year chart compares the same month in 2018, 2019, and 2020)

 

The FBI’s UCR Program collects statistics on the number of offenses known to law enforcement. In the traditional Summary Reporting System (SRS), there are eight crimes, or Part I offenses, (murder and nonnegligent homicide, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, motor vehicle theft, larceny-theft, and arson) to be reported to the UCR Program.  For more information, visit the FBI’s UCR website.

Stealing Store Security reported an adult male stole over $399.00 worth of merchandise and fled the store.  The suspect was later apprehended a short distance from the store and arrested. The suspect was later released pending warrant application by the State Prosecutor.

January 2020 Accident Statistics

The Richmond Heights Police Department responded to 60 traffic accidents in the month of January 2020.  This is down from the 67 accidents that were handled in January 2019.

Trespassing A Galleria Security Supervisor took custody of a known adult male subject who was currently banned from the property after committing prior offenses.  The suspect was arrested and later released on a Municipal summons.

2019 Year End Report

December 2019 Accident Statistics

The Richmond Heights Police Department responded to 84 traffic accidents in December 2019.  This is down from the 98 accidents that were handled in December 2018.  For the year, we have responded to 844 accidents. This is only 3 more than the same time period in 2018.  For the year, we responded to 844 accidents.  It should be noted that this includes accidents that occur on private property.  For accidents that occurred only on public roadways, we responded to 778 in 2019.
