Victim reportedly left his wallet atop the ticket machine in his rush to catch the train.  He realized this at his next stop but Metro Link authorities were unable to locate his wallet containing cash and credit cards.

The victim reportedly had her wallet containing credit cards stolen from her purse while dining at the restaurant. They later learned fraudulent charges had been made using some of the cards before they could all be cancelled.
7/1/12 7300 blk Wise Avenue Domestic Assault

 

Officers were called to the residence for a domestic assault.  On arrival they spoke with a 30 year old male who told them he’s gotten into a fight with his 39 year old partner.  Both subjects were bloodied and appeared to have been in an altercation.  With no witnesses to the event, both subjects were taken into custody and booked for domestic assault and held pending a municipal warrant application.
7/1/12 I-64 @ Hanley Road VMCSL-Possession

 

Officers responding to a vehicle in the roadway on Hanley @ I-64 discovered the driver and passenger asleep.  A strong odor of marijuana was emanating from the vehicle.  The driver consented to a search of his person which led to the discovery of a baggie of marijuana in his pocket.  He was taken into custody for the drug violation. The passenger was also taken into custody after officers learned of outstanding traffic warrants through St. Louis County PD.  The vehicle was towed from the scene and while completing the inventory control form officers discovered an additional bag of marijuana in the driver’s door panel pocket.  Both occupants were conveyed to the station and booked.  The driver was issued a summons for driving while his operator’s license was revoked and possession of marijuana.  The passenger was held for St. Louis County PD.

A refrigerator and stove obtained by the resident for scrap were stolen from his back yard.  There are no suspects.

Two unidentified suspects stole clothing valued at more than $1700 from the store.  There are no leads as to their identity.

Contractor tools valued at more than $1500 were reportedly stolen from a vacant and unsecured work area of the hospital over the weekend.  Hospital surveillance video did not show anyone entering or leaving the area.

A sparkler bomb made using consumer grade sparklers was detonated at approximately 10:00 p.m. between two commercial trash dumpsters on the south lot of the church.  The resulting explosion caused extensive damage to each of the large metal dumpsters and moving them approximately fifteen feet from one another.  Debris from the sparkler bomb penetrated one of the glass window panes on the south side of the school.  A glass patio table was demolished from the explosion at #15 Berkshire.  There are no suspects at this time.

Four suspects entered the store with the intent to steal property.  Three of the suspect’s grabbed clothing valued at more than $4,000 before fleeing the store to their vehicle parked outside the St. Louis Bread Company.  During the theft mall patrons intervened and were able to recover some of the merchandise.  The patrons chased the suspects out of the mall but gave up the chase when one of the suspects sprayed the area with pepper spray.

An overnight hospital employee returned to her vehicle and discovered someone had gained entry and stolen her Garmin GPS.  There was no sign of forced entry to the victim’s vehicle.

Officers were called to a patient’s room after she complained she was struck in the face by her baby’s father.  The father was currently in custody in the hospital security office.  The victim declined to prosecute and the male suspect was released with orders to leave the hospital.  A short time later the victim called police saying she’d thought the matter over and wanted to press charges against the father of her child.  She completed a complaint form and the matter will be reviewed by the city’s prosecuting attorney.

At 7:50 a.m., the victim had just left the mall after purchasing a pair of new Air Jordan tennis shoes.  While walking to his car, a black 2dr vehicle occupied by four subjects drove by.  The front seat passenger exited the vehicle and walked up to the victim while talking about the new Jordan shoe release. Suddenly and without provocation, the suspect struck the victim in the side of his head causing him to lose his grip on his bag containing the tennis shoes. The suspect grabbed the bag and ran back to the black vehicle and got in the front passenger seat making good his escape. The victim declined any medical treatment at the scene.

A 21 year old aspiring rap artist claimed he tried to steal jeans from Macy’s because he had a performance that night.  The artist was booked for stealing and held pending application of a municipal warrant.  He was also held as a fugitive from several other agencies as well.

A vehicle reportedly stolen in Memphis, Tennessee was recovered on the lot of the Galleria.  Two subjects were taken into custody who admitted getting the car from a friend.  Both were booked and released pending application of a state warrant.

Victim returned from a business trip at 1:00 a.m. and left her suitcase in her car before retiring for the night.  The next morning she discovered her vehicle broken into and personal property stolen.  Fingerprints were recovered from the vehicle and submitted to the St. Louis County lab for analysis.

Two adult suspects were arrested at Macy’s for shoplifting. The female suspect attempted to provide the officer with false information as to her identity.  Municipal warrants were issued on both suspects for Stealing and an additional warrant was issued for Providing False Information.

Victim responded to the police station to report that she had unwittingly purchased a stolen I-Phone.  The victim purchased the phone after responding to a Craigslist ad posted online.  When she attempted to activate the phone with her service provider she was informed that the phone had been reported stolen.

Male suspect entered Pulaski Bank and displayed a note demanding money to the teller.  Suspect exited the bank after obtaining over $3000.00 and fled the scene in a blue Ford F150.  With the assistance of Clayton PD the suspect was arrested at Concordia and San Bonita while attempting to change the license plates of his vehicle.  The cash and hold-up note were recovered. Warrants were issued by the Prosecutor’s Office with a $100,000.00 bond.
