Beginning in December 2012, the Missouri Department of Revenue introduced the latest improvements to driver licenses and non-driver identification cards. These changes protect your identity and help decrease fraud. The new system means the end of the over-the-counter driver license system that has been in place since the 1990’s, and allows the Department to install substantially more modern technology.
