Officers responded to a vehicle accident on the highway with several lanes blocked. Officers discovered that the driver of the responsible vehicle fled the scene on foot. The subject was identified and later arrested in another jurisdiction.  The subject was conveyed to RHPD where he was later released on a summons.

An officer patrolling the lot of Schnucks observed a subject selecting plants from an outside display and placing them onto a shopping cart.  The subject then pushed the cart to his truck parked in the store lot and loaded the plants into his truck. Victim stated that person(s) unknown stole his truck that was parked on the street in front of his residence.  The vehicle was recovered the following day less than half a mile from where it was taken and was released at the scene to a relative after determining nothing of value was taken.

An officer conducting a canvass related to the previously mentioned stolen auto drove up on a subject trying to put a motor scooter into the back of a small SUV.  When the subject saw the officer, he entered the SUV and fled the scene.  The SUV itself was stolen out of St. Louis City. Investigation is ongoing.

A vehicle was broken into on the parking lot and property stolen.  Suspect vehicle is a dark colored Chevrolet Impala with Illinois license plates.  Further investigation located two additional vehicles broken into on the lot in St. Louis City’s venue.

Officers responded to the Healthcare Family Credit Union for an abandoned laptop computer case.  Subsequent investigation located the owner on Rupert Avenue.  The victim stated his laptop and case were taken from his unlocked vehicle parked in front of his house overnight.

A 20 year old female and a 15 year old juvenile were arrest for shoplifting.  The adult was issued a municipal court summons and the juvenile released to a guardian.

A 31 year old tenant of the apartment complex was taken into custody for unlawfully entering his neighbor’s apartment and leaving two bags of dog feces on the sofa.  Nothing was reported missing from the reporting party’s apartment.

Two teenage males and a juvenile male assaulted a pedestrian as he walked on the Galleria Parkway stealing his cell phone and wristwatch.   All three suspects were captured by Clayton PD and the victim’s property recovered.  State warrants for second degree robbery were issued against the two adult male suspects, with bond set at $40,000 each, while the juvenile was referred to Family Court.

A 30 year old male was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after officers found him slumped at the wheel of his automobile while stopped in the traffic lane of Clayton Road at Bellevue Avenue.  The driver smelled of alcohol, failed field sobriety exams, and refused to submit to a chemical breath test.  He was booked and released with multiple municipal court summonses.

The victim’s computer bag with laptop was stolen when left unattended in the library.  Also in the laptop bag was the victim’s wallet with credit cards and keys.  All of the victim’s property was returned to him the following day after he was contacted by a well-known police character who told him she found the property.  The matter is being investigated.

Someone gained entry to the victim’s vehicle by removing the driver’s door window.  The interior contents were disturbed but nothing appeared to be missing.  A document with blood on it was seized from the center console and will be submitted to the St. Louis County lab for testing.  Two other vehicles in the neighborhood were also damaged overnight.

While shopping in the women’s shoe department of Macy’s, the victim thought she placed her wallet back into her purse after making a purchase.  She later discovered her wallet missing while at Panera Bread in the Galleria and learned her credit cards had been used at the Micro Center and Target stores in Brentwood, MO.
