Assault

Victim reported that his girlfriend’s son assaulted him with his fists and pulled out some of his hair. The 23 year old suspect was arrested and booked for the assault and municipal warrants were applied for.

6/1/12	1436 S. Big Bend St. Louis Community CU	Miscellaneous Incident	The Credit Union manager was policing up the front of the building when he discovered a note reading, “I have a gun in the bag and I want 20 thousand dollars now in one hundred dollar bills NOW”. The note was turned over to the police.
6/1/12	1100 blk Yale Avenue	Burglary 2^nd	Victim reported someone had gained entry to his house through a side window. A one gallon glass jar full of coins was taken.
6/2/12	1100 blk Yale Avenue	Burglary 2^nd	Victim reported someone had gained entry to his house by prying open the rear door. An electric guitar and several DVD’s were taken. A person of interest was located a block from the scene and taken into custody on unrelated charges. He will be questioned in connection with both burglaries.
6/2/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 19 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and released on a municipal court summons.
6/2/12	1200 blk Boland Place	Destruction of Property	The resident stated someone cut the tires on his vehicle overnight. He suspects a relative of his former wife is involved.
6/3/12	1105 St. Louis Galleria Dillard’s	Shoplifting	A 24 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was later booked and a warrant was sought through municipal court.
6/3/12	1155 St. Louis Galleria Surface Lot	Disorderly Conduct	Officers were called to investigate a shoplifting from Casual Male, 1026 S. Brentwood. Officers located the suspect on the lot of the Galleria and detained him for further investigation. The suspect became loud and verbally abusive and threatened to spit on one of the officers. He was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and booked at the Richmond Heights jail. He was released pending application of a municipal warrant.
6/3/12	7960 Clayton Road Tropicana Lanes	Stealing	Victim reportedly left her cell phone on the counter behind the bowling lanes when she left the building. Realizing she left her phone behind, she returned to retrieve it and discovered someone had stolen it.
6/4/12	2134 St. Louis Galleria Solstice	Shoplifting	A 19 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and released on a municipal court summons.
6/5/12	2471 St. Louis Galleria Icing	Shoplifting	A 19 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. She was booked and held pending municipal warrant application.
6/5/12	1155 St. Louis Galleria Surface Lot	Auto Theft	Victim reported that while working inside the mall, someone stole her vehicle parked on the north side of Dillard’s. A stolen vehicle entry was made in the computer.
6/6/12	7400 blk Hoover Avenue	Burglary	Victim reported someone had forced open the side door to his home stealing jewelry, laptops, and three handguns. The following day a search warrant was served at an apartment down the street. Two adults were taken into custody and the victim’s jewelry was recovered. Leads are being followed on the missing laptops and handguns.
6/6/12	1453 St. Louis Galleria Nordstrom	Shoplifting	A 21 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. She was booked and released pending application of a state warrant.
6/6/12	8001 Dale Avenue The Heights	Assault	A 16 year old juvenile reported being struck in the face by another juvenile while at the recreation facility.
6/7/12	1105 St. Louis Galleria Dillard’s	Trespassing	A 25 year old male was taken into custody for trespassing. The suspect had been banned from the mall after an earlier arrest for shoplifting in March of this year. The suspect was held pending municipal warrant application.
6/7/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	Three adults were taken into custody for shoplifting. They were later booked and released with a municipal court summons.
6/8/12	1300 blk Laclede Station Rd	Burglary	Victim reported someone entered her home and stole three flat screen television sets. The victim believes she has knowledge of who is responsible and an investigation has begun.
6/8/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 16 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. When no parent or guardian could respond, she was taken to the Family Court building which will have jurisdiction in the matter.
6/9/12	1105 St. Louis Galleria Dillard’s	Shoplifting	A 24 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and held pending municipal warrant application.
6/9/12	I-64 @ McCutcheon	Domestic Assault	Officers responded to the area to investigate and auto accident. On arrival they spoke with a witness who told them the 19 year old male suspect was striking the female driver while traveling west on the highway and after he grabbed the steering wheel, she lost control of the car and struck the concrete median. The male suspect, who was the driver’s boyfriend, was arrested for domestic assault.
6/9/12	Hicks @ Douglas	UUW / Flourishing	An argument between the victim and suspect over painting the suspect’s house resulted in the suspect allegedly flourishing a handgun and threatening the victim. The flourishing was witnessed by a third party and the suspect was entered into the computer as wanted for this incident.
6/10/12	1155 St. Louis Galleria	Disorderly Conduct	Two adult females became involved in a physical altercation within the mall. When officers arrived both parties continued to be loud and combative and were taken into custody.
6/11/12	1155 St. Louis Galleria	Stealing	Victim reported finding a hold punched below the driver’s side door handle of her vehicle while parked at her residence. She also discovered a backpack, which contained a pair of ice skates had been taken from the vehicle. She believes the theft occurred on the lot of the Galleria while she was there the previous day between 12-4 p.m.
6/11/12	7600 Dale Avenue CARCO	Property Damage	The business owner reported that his front window had been shattered by a brick. There are no suspects.
6/11/12	2126 St. Louis Galleria Hollister	Shoplifting	A 17 year old store employee was taken into custody after he admitted to stealing more than $500 from his register over the course of a month. He was booked and released pending application of a state warrant.
6/13/12	7300 blk LaVeta	Property Damage	Victim reported damage to her vehicle beneath the driver’s door handle. Entry was gained but nothing was taken.
6/13/12	7100 blk Nashville	Property Damage	Victim reported someone had broken into his vehicle overnight by punching a hole beneath the driver’s door handle. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.
6/13/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	Two 17 year old males were taken into custody for shoplifting. Both were booked and released on a municipal courts summons.
6/13/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 16 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. When no parent or guardian could be contacted she was taken to the Family Court building in Clayton who will also review the case.
6/13/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 32 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and released on a municipal court summons.
6/14/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	Two 17 year old females were taken into custody for shoplifting. Both were booked and released on a municipal courts summons.
6/15/12	1300 blk Hawthorne	Stealing	Victim reported someone stole his black Fuji brand bicycle from outside his apartment. There are no suspects.
6/15/12	1300 blk Hawthorne	Stealing	Victim reported someone stole his silver Cannondale bicycle from outside his apartment sometime between 5/11 and 5/12/12. This is a delayed report and there are no suspects.
6/16/12	7200 blk West Park	Burglary	Victim reported he had left his residence at 11:00 p.m. When he returned at 4:00 a.m. he discovered someone had cut the window screen in his bedroom and entered through the window. Taken were a flat screen television, digital camera, and jewelry. The case is currently being investigated.
6/16/12	1432 St. Louis Galleria Gymboree	Shoplifting	Victim reported $100 cash was taken from her purse in a back room while working.
6/17/12	1105 St. Louis Galleria Dillard’s	Shoplifting	Store security attempted to stop a 22 year old female for shoplifting. She fled from security on the parking lot where a bystander attempted to keep her from entering her car. The suspect was able to get into her vehicle and backed from her parking space striking the bystander’s wife who declined medical attention. Dillard’s security arrived on the scene and was able to extract the female from her vehicle and take her into custody. She was booked and released pending application of a municipal warrant.
6/18/12	7500 blk Hiawatha	Disorderly Conduct	Officers responded to a disturbance on Hiawatha at West Bruno and learned two sisters had become involved in an argument over a vehicle. Both sisters were taken into custody and booked. One was released with a municipal court summons while the other was issued a summons and held as a fugitive from another agency.
6/18/12	2126 St. Louis Galleria Hollister	Shoplifting	A 30 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and held pending application of a municipal warrant.
6/18/12	7900 blk Dale Avenue	Stealing	Victim reported the theft of two wooden step ladders from her carport.
6/18/12	1105 St. Louis Galleria Dillard’s	Shoplifting	A 43 year old male with an extensive criminal history was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and held pending application of a state warrant.
6/19/12	6600 Clayton Road Schnucks	Shoplifting	Schnucks reported the theft of one of their motorized carts. There are no suspects.
6/19/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 24 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and issued a municipal court summons for this offense and held for another agency on an outstanding fugitive warrant.
6/19/12	2077 St. Louis Galleria Food Court	Stealing	Victim contacted police after she was unable to find her First Community Bank Visa card. She recalled last using the card at Ben and Jerry’s in the food court. She only wished to file a report for informational purposes only.
6/20/12	7100 blk Clayton Road	Property Damage	Victim was awakened by the sound of his car alarm. He discovered someone had tried to get into his vehicle by pealing back the rubber window seal and punching the door lock.
6/20/12	7500 blk Hoover Avenue	Property Damage	Officers canvassing the area due to a recent attempt vehicle break-in were called to the 7500 block of Hoover for a car alarm sounding. On arrival officers located a vehicle with damage to the driver’s door handle and lock. The victim was contacted and determined nothing was missing from his car.
6/20/12	1000 blk Commodore	Property Damage	While canvassing the area due to recent vehicle break-ins, an office noticed damage to a gray Infiniti parked at the curb. Closer inspection revealed an attempt was made to enter the vehicle by pealing back the window seal. The owner did not answer his door and a business card was left.
6/20/12	1200 blk Arch Terrace	Auto Theft	Victim reported his vehicle was stolen from in front of his house overnight. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were left inside. A vehicle stolen from St. Louis city was recovered nearby (see 12-1345).
6/20/12	1300 blk Arch Terrace	Trespassing	Victim reported that someone rummaged through her unlocked vehicle overnight. She reported nothing missing and there was no damage to her car.
6/20/12	1200 blk Arch Terrace	Recovered Stolen Auto	A vehicle stolen from St. Louis city was recovered on Arch Terrace near the location where another vehicle was stolen (see 12-1343). The recovered stolen vehicle was processed for prints and will be forwarded to the lab for analysis.
6/20/12	1200 blk Arch Terrace	Trespassing	Victim reported that someone rummaged through his unlocked vehicle overnight. He reported nothing missing and there was no damage to his car.
6/20/12	1100 blk Claytonia Terrace	Property Damage	Victim reported someone tried to break into his vehicle overnight causing damage to his driver’s door handle and lock.
6/20/12	1400 blk Collins	Stealing / Property Damage	Victim reported his vehicle broken into overnight. He discovered damage to the driver’s door handle and lock and his boxing gloves were missing from the trunk.
6/20/12	7700 blk St. Albans	Stealing/Property Damage	Victim reported someone broke into his vehicle overnight, causing damage to the driver’s door lock, and stealing an undetermined amount of change.
6/20/12	7300 blk Council Place	Property Damage	Victim reported someone entered his Dodge pickup overnight and damaged his driver’s side door handle in the process.
6/20/12	7700 blk St. Albans	Stealing/Property Damage	Victim reported that someone entered his vehicle overnight causing damage to the driver’s door lock. Taken was a tool box with assorted tools.
6/20/12	7700 blk St. Albans	Stealing	Victim reported someone entered her unlocked vehicle overnight stealing approximately $3.00 in change.
6/20/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 19 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and held pending municipal warrant application. Suspect was also held for several other agencies that had entered him into the computer as wanted.
6/20/12	1300 blk Arch Terrace	Trespassing	Victim reported someone had rummaged through her vehicle overnight while it was parked in her driveway. She later discovered her cell phone missing which had been located in the street next to where her neighbor’s car had been stolen.
6/20/12	1100 blk St. Louis Galleria	Shoplifting	A 27 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. She was booked and released on a municipal court summons.
6/20/12	1100 blk Ralph Terrace	Burglary	Victim reported she returned from vacation and discovered someone had entered her duplex stealing her children’s passports. She also found her 2011 tax return on her kitchen table. She suspected her ex-husband was responsible. He was contacted and the passports were returned. She desired no further police involvement or prosecution.
6/21/12	1200 blk Boland	Property Damage	Victim reported hearing a noise outside his residence and when he went to investigate observed a white male attempting to break into his vehicle. Victim called the police but the suspect fled to a waiting gray colored Volkswagen which drove north on Boland. A screwdriver and coat hanger were seized at the scene. Victim believes this may be related to his impending divorce.
6/21/12	6600 Clayton Road Schnucks	Fraud/Forgery	Schnucks reported a 37 year old female passed a counterfeit check at the Richmond Center store totaling $242.16. Suspect was arrested in Swansea, Illinois and admitted to making the checks on her home computer and passing them in Illinois and Missouri for thousands of dollars.

6/21/12	1000 blk Blendon	Destruction of City Property	Small city owned trees were cut down. There are no suspects.
6/21/12	7700 blk Dale Avenue	Burglary	Victim reported someone broke into their residence stealing their, X-box, Wii, computer monitor, and jewelry.
6/22/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 20 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. She was booked and held for a municipal warrant application.
6/23/12	6420 Clayton Road St. Mary’s Hospital	Disorderly Conduct	A 29 year old female was taken into custody after refusing to leave the hospital and using foul language loud enough to be disruptive. She was booked and placed in a holding cell pending a municipal warrant application.
6/23/12	2000 blk Princeton	Stealing	Approximately $4.00 in change was taken from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.
6/23/12	1800 blk Princeton	Stealing	A laptop computer and GPS were stolen from the victim’s vehicle which was left unlocked in her driveway overnight.
6/23/12	1700 blk Bellevue	Property Damage	Victim reported someone tried to gain entry to her vehicle causing damage to her driver’s door lock. No entry was made and there are no suspects.
6/23/12	1491 St. Louis Galleria Urban Outfitters	Shoplifting	An 18 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. She was booked and released on a municipal court summons.
6/23/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 19 year old female and a 15 year old juvenile were taken into custody for shoplifting. The adult was booked and released on a municipal court summons. The juvenile was taken to Family Court who will have jurisdiction in the matter.
6/23/12	1114 Brentwood EJ’s Shoes	Shoplifting	A female exiting the store set off the sensor alarm. She was asked to return inside but refused and made her way to a waiting vehicle. Empty boxes of shoes were found at the point where the female had been standing. The vehicle was entered as wanted and the follow-up handled at the patrol level.
6/23/12	6706 Clayton Road Esquire Theatre (parking lot)	Stealing	Victim reported that while he and his family, were at the theatre, someone broke into his van. Victim and his family are from Alabama. Suspect(s) stole his wife’s purse containing her checkbook, bank card, jewelry and cell phone. Five suitcases full of clothing were also taken.
6/23/12	1155 St. Louis Galleria Surface Parking	Stealing	Victim parked and secured his vehicle on the south lot of the mall. When he returned he discovered damage to his driver’s door handle and learned two bags of clothing had been stolen from inside his vehicle. There are no suspects.
6/25/12	2471 St. Louis Galleria Icing	Shoplifting	A 33 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. She was booked and released on a municipal court summons.
6/28/12	1402 Hanley Road	Peace Disturbance	While on patrol, an officer witnessed a minor accident on the lot of the Circle K gas station. When driver #1 tried to apologize to driver #2, driver #2 exited his vehicle and became irate enough to attract the attention of those around him. When the officer tried to defuse the situation, driver #2 began to loudly curse the officer creating a further disturbance. Driver #2 was arrested for peace disturbance and conveyed to the station. He was booked and held for municipal warrant application. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
6/28/12	7400 blk Dale Avenue	Stealing	Victim stated between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., someone stole his cast aluminum diving frog lawn decoration from his front yard. There were no witnesses and no suspects.
6/28/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 28 year old female was taken into custody for shoplifting. She was booked and released on a municipal court summons.
6/29/12	Lake Forest Subdivision	Property Damage Larceny	Unknown subject(s) used a landscape stone to break out the passenger window on the victim’s vehicle, stealing a pair of designer sunglasses.
6/29/12	2476 St. Louis Galleria Footlocker	Shoplifting	A 37 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and held pending a municipal warrant application.
6/29/12	1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s	Shoplifting	A 17 year old male was taken into custody for shoplifting. He was booked and released on a municipal court summons.
6/29/12	1500 blk Collins	Failure to Comply	Officers were called to the 1500 block of Collins for subjects shouting and yelling in the street. On their arrival several of the subjects were attempting to leave in a vehicle and were detained. One of the subjects fled to his residence at 1505 Collins and refused officers commands to return. After officers determined none of the other parties were wanted they were allowed to leave the area. Officers then contacted the resident at 1505 Collins and her 17 year old son. Refusing to hear what the officers had to say, the mother became combative and belligerent with them. She forced her son back inside the residence and refused any further contact. This house has become a nuisance residence with more than 23 calls during the past two years. The city’s prosecuting attorney will be made aware of the situation.
6/29/12	6706 Clayton Road Esquire Theatre	Disorderly Conduct	Officers were called to deal with an intoxicated 37 year old female who was refused admittance to the theatre. She was transported to the station to call someone to pick her up. A short time later officers were called to check on a female walking south in the middle of Big Bend. The same intoxicated woman became uncooperative with the officers and was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. She was booked at the station and later released on a municipal court summons.
