On 7/1/14 an employee saw a neighbor of the business walking around the rear parking lot and around the outside of the business, which is apparently an ongoing complaint with the same neighbor. The owner of the business signed a complaint against the neighbor for Trespassing. The matter was referred to the Richmond Heights Municipal Court.

Stealing A female juvenile was taken into custody for stealing five shirts from the Children’s Department. She was referred to the St Louis County Family Court.

Recovered stolen auto While on patrol, an officer received an alert on the License Plate Recognition System of a vehicle entered as stolen that was parked, unoccupied on Dale. The vehicle had been entered as stolen from the Webster Groves Police Department the same day.

St Mary’s Hospital

Threatening phone call An unknown suspect called the hospital stating he was on the way to the hospital to “shoot people with a M16 Assault rifle.” The hospital was put on lock down and systematically searched, but no suspect was identified. The matter is still under investigation by the detective bureau.

Destruction of Private Property A large limb from a tree owned by the city fell overnight causing minor damage to the building roof and wrought iron handrail for the front steps to the building. Public works responded immediately and removed the branch. A matter of record report was entered.

Disorderly Conduct A male and female were arrested after creating a disturbance in the St Louis Galleria Food Court over a domestic issue. They were both arrested for Disorderly Conduct and warrants were issued through the Richmond Heights Municipal Court.

VMCSL Possession During a routine pedestrian check, the officer found a male concealing Marijuana in a backpack. He was arrested and booked, then later released on a Summons returnable in the Richmond Heights Municipal Court.

DWI A driver involved in an automobile accident on Highway 64, left the scene and drove to the Richmond Heights Fire Department. Police responded where police arrested him for Driving while Intoxicated. The case was referred to the Richmond Heights Municipal Court.

Property Damage Suspect(s) unknown broke out five windows of the building in the last two weeks. The building is abandoned, so the damage was found by a member periodically checking the building.

Shoplifting A male was arrested for attempting to steal two shirts in the Nike Department. He was released on a Richmond Heights Municipal Court Summons.

Shoplifting Two adults and one juvenile were arrested for attempting to steal several Tommy Hilfiger shirts. Warrants were issued through the Richmond Heights Municipal Court on the adults and the juvenile was referred to St Louis County Family Court.

Stealing Officers responded to Schnucks where security attempted to detain an adult female who had concealed several grocery items. The security officer was able to recover the items but the suspect fled the scene on foot making good her escape.

Assault Victim reported that she confronted three adult females sitting directly behind her in the theatre for being too loud. The victim reported that she was then punched repeatedly by one of the group.  The three suspects fled the scene making good their escape.

07/26/14 1000 (blk) Yale Discharging a Firearm Officers responded for the report of “shots fired.” They made contact with a resident who admitted to firing his personal handgun in the direction of an unknown person whom the resident thought was trespassing on his property. The resident was arrested and held on a muni warrant application.
07/27/14 SOR I-64 at Hanley DWI Officers responded for a single vehicle accident where investigation found the driver of the vehicle to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested and was later released on summonses.

07/28/14 1300 (blk) Hawthorne Recovered Stolen Auto An officer was alerted to the presence of a stolen auto via his patrol vehicle’s LPR system. The vehicle was recovered unoccupied and had been reported stolen by the St. Louis County PD.

Stealing Security detained an adult male for stealing $87.97 in merchandise. The suspect was arrested and later released on a summons.
07/29/14 2000 (blk) Del Norte Tampering with an Auto Officers responded to the area for a suspicious person. The officers located a subject inside a stolen vehicle who fled from and eluded officers on foot. During the investigation a vehicle was discovered to have been entered and had items stolen from inside it. The suspect had been located again just outside the city limits after having stolen another vehicle. He fled the area making good his escape. The suspect was ultimately identified as is currently being sought.
