2012 Statistical Summary of Internal Affairs Investigations
A review of the Internal Affairs Complaints and Investigations received during calendar year 2012 revealed there were no investigations conducted by this police department.

The Richmond Heights Police Department handled 22,622 calls for service in 2012 as compared to 22,363 calls for service in 2011. This is an increase of 259 more calls for service than received in calendar year 2011. Due to receiving no complaints and investigations concerning the members of the police department, this reflects a record of exemplary service by the police officers of this department.

A review of the Internal Affairs Complaints and Investigations received during calendar year 2011 revealed there were seven (7) investigations conducted by this police department. This was the same amount as in calendar year 2010 and five (5) more than investigated in 2009.

The Richmond Heights Police Department handled 22,363 calls for service in 2011. This is 1,614 fewer calls for service than received in calendar year 2010. It should be noted that of the seven investigations conducted; only two were the result of citizen complaints, which did result in one officer being disciplined. The other five investigations were initiated by supervisors of the police department and resulted in five officers being disciplined. The small number of complaints and investigations reflects a record of exemplary service by the police officers of this department.

A review of the Internal Affairs Complaints and Investigations received during calendar year 2010 revealed there were seven (7) investigations conducted by this police department. This was five (5) more than in calendar year 2009 and two (2) more than investigated in 2008.
