St. Mary’s Hospital

Assault on a Police Officer, Car Clouting, Stolen Auto

 

Officers responded to the St. Mary’s parking garage for a subject breaking into vehicles. Officers arrived and chased the suspect vehicle which struck several parked vehicles.  The suspect attempted to use his vehicle to run down an officer.  It was later determined that the suspect broke into two vehicles, moving one to another level of the garage to conceal its damage.  The subject was arrested and held pending a warrant application with the St. Louis County PA’s office.

Victim parked his mother’s car in the St. Mary’s parking garage overnight and found that it was missing the next day.

Victim reported two white males running from the area of her residence shortly after she discovered the glass window to her back door had been shattered.   Officers conducted a canvass of the area to locate the suspects and any other evidence to no avail.

Officers responded to the Buckle store where mall security and Buckle employees detained a subject for stealing $202.94 worth of merchandise. The subject was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.
10/3/12 7700 (blk) Dale Suspicious Person

 

An officer was checking on a “for sale” and unoccupied residence when he discovered a subject sleeping on the residence’s front porch. The officer requested a CAD search that indicated the subject (a homeless drifter) had been warned not to return to the residence again.  Additionally, the officer contacted the realty company who confirmed that no one should be on premises.    The subject was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.

Officers responded to the call of shots fired.  A resident was arrested for discharging a firearm in the street.

Officers responded to the report of a disturbance inside of a parked vehicle on the street.  When they arrived, officers observed a female squatting next to the vehicle and urinating.  The subject was arrested for indecent exposure and released on a municipal court summons.

Victoria’s Secret

Three subjects concealed clothing merchandise inside of a shopping bag and exited the store with all the merchandise being carried by one subject. That subject was contacted by the store manager who escorted the subject back into the store. The subject provided the manager with her MO driver’s license but the manager let the subject leave to get her credit cards. The subject never returned. The subject was entered as wanted for stealing and property damage.

Victim reported that her vehicle was broken into while parked on the lot of Applebee’s.  Entry was gained via punching a door lock.  No items were taken.

Victim reported that his vehicle was broken into while parked on the lot of the Heights.  Entry was gained by damaging a door window.  No items were taken.
10/5/12 8500 (blk) Antler Burglary

 

Victim returned to his residence and discovered a basement window forced open and a jar of change ($200 in coins) missing from the residence.  Investigation is ongoing.

Homewood Suites

Stealing

 

Victim, a guest at the hotel, reported that she received a phone call on the hotel room phone where the caller pretended to be from the front desk.  The caller informed the victim that the computers went down and needed her credit card number to complete the check in process. The victim provided the number and later realized that nearly $800 was applied to her credit card to conduct monetary wire transfers.  Investigation is ongoing.
10/10/12 North Outer Road at Brentwood Blvd. Possession of Narcotics

 

An officer conducted a traffic stop and detected the odor of burnt marijuana. Investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver for possession of marijuana. The driver was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.

Assault

 

Officers responded to the PD jail for the report of one prisoner assaulting another.  Upon separating the suspect from the cell and relocating him, the victim refused to assist in prosecution.

Officers responded to the Galleria parking garage for the report of an intoxicated subject. Officers located the subject and investigation found him to be in possession of a device associated with the smoking of heroine.  The subject was arrested and held on a muni warrant application.

A subject was detained for using a bad check to purchase merchandise from the Buckle store. Investigation revealed that she was in possession of stolen property and that she had warrants for identity theft.  The subject was arrested for possession of stolen merchandise and held for a muni warrant application.  Investigation into the use of the bad check is ongoing.
10/11/12 1158 St. Louis Galleria Forgery

 

Reference the above possession of stolen merchandise, further investigation revealed that the suspect in report number 12-2124 had passed several bogus checks at other stores within the mall.  The suspect was additionally charged with multiple counts of forgery.

The victim reported that her camera was stolen from the restaurant after she left it there for some time.
10/12/12 1330 Big Bend Domestic Assault

 

Victim reported the while driving on Dale Ave. she and her ex-boyfriend got into a verbal argument that culminated in him pulling her hair and trying to force her out of a moving vehicle. Victim stated that she parked on the City Hall lot where they were by contacted police. The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended on the service road. The suspect was charged with domestic assault, resisting arrest and failure to comply.  He was held pending a muni warrant application.

Officers responded to Love Culture where security detained a subject for stealing $25.50 worth of clothing merchandise.  The subject was arrested and held on a muni warrant application.

Victim reported that his vehicle was stolen after parking it in row 4 of the St. Louis Galleria outside of Dillard’s.  Victim reported the he was not in possession of his keys.

Lewd Conduct, DWI

 

An officer observed a vehicle park on the Shell lot and watched as the driver exited the vehicle, pull her pants down and urinate on the parking lot.  The subject returned to her vehicle and began to drive away. The officer stopped the vehicle and investigation yielded the driver’s arrest for lewd conduct and DWI.

Officers responded to the Coach store for a delayed stealing report.  Coach store video showed two subjects enter the Coach store, conceal several wallets and leave without paying for the merchandise.

A landscaper working on a fence reported that the neighbor’s dog jumped over the fence and bit him on the leg. Investigation revealed no vaccination info on hand.  St. Louis County Animal Control was advised of the incident.

ECDC reported a disturbance in the station lobby.  Investigation revealed that the disturbance began in a moving vehicle with the driver appearing intoxicated.  That subject was arrested for DWI.

A patron of the VFW Hall reported that her vehicle was broken into by someone shattering a rear window.  The victim reported that her purse containing her checkbook was stolen.

Victim reported that her house was broken into via someone shattering a basement door window.  Taken was a skateboard, money and some car speakers.  Victim suspects her wayward son is responsible.

An officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had no front or rear license plates.  Further investigation found the driver to be in possession of marijuana.  The driver was arrested and later released on muni court summonses.

Officers responded to the Esquire lot for the report of a subject attempting to break into a vehicle.  The suspect was gone at arrival.  No entry into the vehicle was made.  Damage to the vehicle’s door handle was noted.

The manager of Apple reported that he went to the mall’s public restroom with his personal laptop computer and left the bathroom without it.  When he returned the computer was gone.

A 2006 Ford F-150 was stolen from the lot of the hotel.  A spare ignition key was left in the truck’s console.  The vehicle was recovered two days later in St. Louis.

The driver’s window was shattered sometime between 08:00 and 12:30 while parked on the street.  A Garmin GPS was stolen.

The back covers of two iPhones were removed and the phones stolen from their display. An investigation revealed the same person responsible for this incident was also responsible for forcibly stealing a mall employee’s phone on 10/26/12 under report number 12-2238.  A 15 year old juvenile was later arrested and charged in Family Court with one count of second degree robbery and one count of felony stealing.

Officers responded to Macy’s where security had detained two juveniles for stealing $195 worth of clothing.  The juveniles were arrested and conveyed to the County Juvenile Detention Center.

Officers responded to Schnucks for a suspicious person.  At their arrival, the subject had just left, driving a vehicle.  Further investigation resulted in the officers conducting a traffic stop on suspicion of DWI.  After a field sobriety test, the driver was arrested for DWI.
