9/1/12 1155 St. Louis Galleria Disorderly Conduct

 

A 50 year old male was taken into custody when found to be intoxicated on Galleria property asking passing motorists for a ride.  He was booked and released on a municipal court summons.

9/2/12 7000 blk Oakland Burglary

 

Two televisions and a laptop computer were stolen from the residence after someone entered through a rear window.

Nordstrom

Shoplifting / Assault

 

Three suspects grabbed clothing from the store and ran to a waiting vehicle just outside Nordstrom’s east doors.  When chased by security, one of the suspects discharged pepper spray before entering the getaway vehicle.  No license plate information was obtained and surveillance video is poor.
9/2/12 1155 St. Louis Galleria Disturbance

 

Police were called to the Galleria food court for a fight in progress.  One suspect fled the mall on foot and was later apprehended by an officer.  The second party was taken into custody inside the mall.  Both were booked for disorderly conduct and held on bond.
9/3/12 6400 Clayton Road Drug Violation

 

An officer conducting a traffic stop discovered the occupants of the vehicle to have several outstanding warrants.  The female passenger was also found to be in possession of marijuana.  The warrants for the driver were not verified and he was issued a traffic summons.  His female passenger was taken into custody on her outstanding warrants and also booked for possession of the marijuana.

Police were called to a disturbance and took a 43 year old male into custody for domestic violence.  He was held pending application of a municipal warrant.
9/11/12 1200 (blk) Buck Auto Theft

 

Victim reported his vehicle stolen from in front of his house overnight.  A spare ignition key was left on the floorboard of the vehicle.  Two neighbors also had their vehicles rummaged through but not stolen.

A 58 year old female was observed removing two pair of women’s shoes from their box and place them inside her purse before leaving the store.  She was detained and escorted to the security office where store merchandise totaling $1,019 was recovered from her possession.  She was booked for felony stealing and released pending application of a state warrant.

Stealing O/$500 Store employees observed three suspects randomly grab 34 pairs of sunglasses valued at $6338.55.  The suspects fled on foot.

A patient suffering from Schizophrenia suddenly and without provocation attacked his nurse breaking her nose.  He was detained and placed under sedation.  Due to the patient’s condition after the attack, a wanted entry for second degree assault was placed in the computer for his arrest at a later time.

Two female juvenile suspects worked in tandem to steal clothing merchandise valued at $196.15.  They were apprehended by Macy’s security and later arrested.  Both juveniles were released to their parents.  A report was forwarded to the St. Louis County Family Court.

Victim reported that his car was broken into overnight by damaging the driver’s door lock.  The victim reported that his car’s speakers and amplifier were stolen.

Stealing O/$500 Store security reported on 9/25/12 that a Hispanic male and a Hispanic female stole 75 pieces of clothing merchandise valued at $2732.50.  This was only discovered after inventory check revealed a shortage.

Victim reported that her vehicle was broken into by smashing out her front passenger window.  Taken from the vehicle was a work related security guard belt that contained both handcuffs and pepper spray.

The female victim reported that she and her boyfriend got into an argument while at the mall.  The victim stated her boyfriend grabbed her by her hair and pushed her.  The victim made contact with mall security and police and he was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.
9/17/12 S/B I-170 @ I-64 DWI Officers responded to the area of the St. Louis Galleria south lot and met with a witness for the report of an intoxicated driver that entered the city from I-170. Investigation resulted in the arrest of a subject for DWI.
9/18/12 1336 Hawthorne 1B Stealing Over $500

 

Victim reported her handgun, ammunition and gun holster stolen from her apartment, likely occurring when the apartment was being shown to possible new tenants as she was moving out.
9/18/12 1550 St. Louis Galleria Macy’s Shoplifting

 

A Macy’s employee was arrested for conducting a series of “markdowns” on clothing items $1440.99.  The customers receiving the markdowns were friends of the employee.

Mall security officers recognized a subject that was previously banned after being arrested for shoplifting.  Security officers detained the subject until police officers arrived and arrested the subject for trespassing.

Forgery Victim stated an unknown suspect deposited a check into her account shortly after victim’s purse was stolen containing deposit slips and a debit card.  Later the debit card was fraudulently used in other locations.

Shoplifting Two suspects were apprehended by Macy’s security after stealing $159.95 worth of clothing merchandise.  Both suspects were arrested and released on municipal court summonses.
9/20/12 1155 St. Louis Galleria Disorderly Conduct Mall security detained two juvenile females who randomly came into contact with each other at the Galleria.  The two juveniles have a long standing feud over a common boyfriend and engaged in a fight on mall property.  Both juveniles were arrested and later released to their parents.

Shoplifting Macy’s security detained two juvenile suspects for stealing $258.50 worth of clothing merchandise.   Both juveniles were arrested, one being transported to the St. Louis County Juvenile Detention Center, the other released to a parent.

Shoplifting Officers responded to the area of Schnuck’s in search of a shoplifting suspect. Officers located the suspect who was identified by Schnuck’s security as having stolen a package of razors and nail clippers with a total value of $7.68. The suspect was arrested and held for muni warrant application.

Forgery Two subjects purchased jewelry from Fast Fix using fraudulent prepaid credit cards.  One of the subjects was arrested the next day attempting to do so again.  Investigation is ongoing.
9/21/12 7400 (blk) Arlington Domestic Assault Officers responded to the home of the victim who reported that she and her husband who are in the process of divorcing just got into a verbal argument.  The victim added that the suspect grabbed her by the throat and damaged a bedroom door prior to fleeing. The suspect was entered as a wanted person.

Shoplifting Love Culture security detained a subject for stealing $11.90 worth of clothing merchandise.  The subject was arrested and later released on a muni court summons.

Officers responded for a disturbance at a residence.  Investigation revealed that a fight ensued among family members.  Three members of the family residence were arrested, one for domestic assault and two for disorderly conduct.
9/22/12 1155 St. Louis Galleria Trespassing Galleria security detained a previously banned subject.  The subject was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.

Possession of Stolen Property Galleria security detained a previously banned subject.  The subject was in possession of 35 pairs of women’s underwear that was determined to be stolen from Victoria’s Secret. The subject was arrested and held pending a muni warrant application.

Suicide Attempt A patron of Homewood Suites contacted 911 stating he was going to kill himself.  Officers arrived and secured the subject, and later transported him to St. Mary’s Hospital where he was admitted for further treatment.

Domestic Assault Victim is a parking garage attendant at the medical building.  She reported her ex-boyfriend responded to her location, grabbed her by the hair and spit in her face.  Officers contacted the suspect by phone who admitted to the incident. The report was forwarded to the RH prosecutor for muni warrant application.

Shoplifting Schnuck’s security officer’s detained a subject for stealing $99.12 worth of toiletries.  Officers arrived and arrested the subject, holding her for a muni warrant application.
9/25/12 1400 (blk) Hawthorne Domestic Violence

 

Officers responded to a domestic assault where the victim was being held against her will by her boyfriend in his apartment.  The victim stated that her boyfriend sexually assaulted her over the course of the previous evening compelling her with the threat of a gun.  The suspect was arrested and charges were sought with the St. Louis County PA’s office.

An officer observed a vehicle commit an illegal U-turn and conducted a traffic stop.  Investigation resulted in the driver being arrested for suspicion of DWI. The subject was held pending a municipal warrant application.

Hollister store employees and mall security were attempting to detain a subject for shoplifting.  The subject produced a can of pepper spray and threatened the other parties.  Officers arrested the subject without incident.  The subject was held pending a municipal warrant application.

A vehicle driven by an unidentified subject crashed into a parked vehicle on the Galleria parking lot causing the parked vehicle to strike 2 other vehicles.  Investigation identified the license plate of the vehicle which was entered as wanted for LSA.
