An officer on patrol located a travel bag in the street. Investigation revealed that it had been stolen from the owner’s car in the City of St. Louis. The bag was later returned to the owner.

A 22 year old man called police when he found that his 25 year old girlfriend, who was in the car with him, had accidentally overdosed on the heroine they were sharing. The female was taken to an area hospital for treatment and the male was arrested.

When a 22 year old female was acting inappropriately in the mall, security officers told her to leave. When she refused to leave and began cursing at the officers she was arrested. She was held pending a case review by the municipal prosecutor.

The victim reports that someone broke a mirror off her car while it was parking in the lot.

Victim received a call that he had won $950,000.00 and a Mercedes Benz, but was required to send a small amount of money to receive his winnings. In the following weeks the victim sent money (totaling $840.00) by Western Union, to Kingston, Jamaica as instructed. Investigation continues.

A suspect was arrested after attempting to use a stolen check to purchase computer equipment. The suspect was found to be part of a larger stolen check ring, so the US Secret Service was notified.

Galleria Officers found a small dog locked in a vehicle on the parking lot. The dog appeared to be in distress by its behavior due to the extreme temperature. The officer found a way to open the door and remove the dog. A Humane Society Investigator responded and found the temperature inside the vehicle was 116 degrees, so she took custody of the dog. The owner of the vehicle and dog was located where she was issued a Richmond Heights Municipal Court Summons for Animal Abuse.

Victim’s 2002 Dodge Ram Truck was stolen overnight while it was parked on the street in front of the residence. It was recovered three days later in St. Louis City after having been wrecked.

A female suspect asked to see a diamond ring on display. When the sales associate handed her the ring (valued at over $21,000), she took it and ran out of the store. The suspect was last seen running into the parking lot. Investigation continues.

Resisting Arrest

 

During a traffic stop, the suspect driver ran on foot from the scene to avoid arrest. The officer chased the suspect to the 7600 block of Lindbergh where he caught the suspect. It was later determined that the suspect ran from police because he had several outstanding traffic warrants. The suspect was charged with several traffic violations, Failure to comply and Resisting arrest. Warrant application will be made through the Richmond Heights Municipal Court.

An employee of a trash company was bitten on the leg by a homeowner’s dog while retrieving trash cans from the rear yard for normal collection. Paramedics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment.

Police responded to the parking garage where security had detained a 21 year old female for leaving her children in her car, unattended, for approximately 10 minutes. Missouri’s Division of Family Services was notified and will investigate further.

Police stopped a vehicle with an expired license plate. This stop resulted in the arrest of the 21 year old male driver when marijuana was found in his car. He was held pending a case review by the municipal prosecutor.

Police were investigating a call for a fight when they discovered an 18 year old male participant had an outstanding drug warrant from another municipality. Upon being arrested a number of pills, possibly illegal narcotics, were found in his pocket. Investigation continues.

The 23 year old mother of a prematurely born baby removed her child from the ICU and let the hospital. She was later found at her home and the child was taken to another area hospital. The case will be forwarded to state prosecutors for review.
